DETERMINATION OF THE TECHNICAL DETAILS OF HUBS
In the front wheel hub mounted tapered roller bearings.
Cuff 2 (Fig. 168) hub operates on a split ring,
pressed to the pin.
Properly assembled and regulated hub should provide
slight rotation of the wheel, do not heat the driving and have an axial clearance
0,02-0,12 mm. After disassembly and cleaning of parts with kerosene
determine their suitability for further use.
Suitability of bearings is determined by inspection. Bearing rings
should not be pitting, scratches, scratches and other damage cross-country
tracks. The internal ring should not have circular scratches
and trace metal enveloping the inner diameter. Rollers are also
should not be pitting, scratches, and scratches on the cross-country
surfaces, chipping and scoring end. Separators must hold
rollers with small bullies. Protrusion of metal edges of the windows
separators are not allowed. Separator roller sagging under its own
mass must not touch the inner wheel bearing. In detail
Bearings should not be discoloration.
State of the seating surfaces on the trunnion bearings front desk
suspension according to their degree of wear rings bearing is determined by
measurements of these surfaces with a micrometer.

Thrust bearing ring can be worn due to friction of the cuff.
If a trace of wear is given by a smooth groove depth of 0.15 mm, the ring
suitable for use if the groove is rough, not smooth and deeper than
0.15 mm, ring substitute a new one.
Suitability for use cuff further defined by
preservation of the working edge and the elasticity of rubber. If the working edge
mild or hardened rubber seals, replace the cuff.
Thrust washer should have no bearing on the working surface of the scoring,
scratches or wear more than 0.2 mm.
