The electrolyte level should be 10-15 mm higher than the safety
shield, mounted above the cage.
The electrolyte level is measured glass tube having a proper
mark at a distance of 10-15 mm from the end. To measure the level of the electrolyte
in the battery, unscrew the cap and dip tube in a vertical
position in the filler cap to lock in the safety shield,
then close up the top and remove the finger. The height of the column of electrolyte
in the tube corresponds to the height of the electrolyte level of safety
shield. Raise the level of electrolyte should only top up
of distilled water.
Top up the electrolyte only in cases where it is known that the level of
decreased as a result of spilling of the electrolyte.
