Knocking of the engine crankshaft is deaf metal
tone, whose frequency increases with increasing frequency
engine speed. Excessive axial clearance
crankshaft of the engine noise is more dramatic tone
with irregular intervals, especially noticeable with smooth
accelerating or decelerating.

Knocking rods has a sharp, metallic tone than
knocking main bearings. Knocking is usually seen at work
the engine idling in neutral position of the lever
shifting and increases with increasing frequency
engine speed. Knocking rods can be easily
define, disabling one by one spark plug.
